About the Role
The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for developing and executing the hotel's comprehensive revenue strategy to maximize revenue, profitability, and long-term asset value while preserving the property's luxury positioning and guest experience. This role leads pricing, inventory, distribution, forecasting, and business mix strategies across all market segments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the hotel's comprehensive revenue strategy.
- Maximize revenue, profitability, and long-term asset value.
- Preserve the property's luxury positioning and guest experience.
- Lead pricing, inventory, distribution, forecasting, and business mix strategies.
- Ensure alignment with the hotel's commercial objectives and financial goals.
- Identify revenue opportunities by leveraging data analytics, market intelligence, and demand insights.
- Anticipate market trends and translate complex data into strategic recommendations.
- Support decision-making by hotel leadership, ownership, and home office partners.
- Ensure forecasting accuracy, revenue optimization, pricing strategy, distribution performance, and market share growth.
- Ensure disciplined execution across all commercial channels.
- Shape and execute an integrated commercial strategy in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Area Director of Revenue.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and Area Director of Revenue.
- Present performance results, business risks, and strategic opportunities.
- Influence key commercial decisions supporting short- and long-term objectives.
Requirements
- Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 6 years similar experience in this or a similar role.
- Prior experience and strong understanding of hospitality revenue management preferred.
- Experience with hotel property management systems, reservation systems, and revenue management systems preferred.
- Strong expertise in on-demand trends and market conditions.
- Ability to translate market conditions into revenue management strategies.
- Comfortable presenting strategy recommendations to Executive teams.
- Flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
