About the Role

The Accounts Payable Coordinator ensures timely and accurate input of supplier invoices, manages discrepancies with purchase orders, and liaises with the accounting team to resolve customer issues effectively.

Responsibilities

  • File all matched and entered payables.
  • Process daily supplier invoices, including sorting, coding, and inputting into NRT’s accounting system.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of vendor statements by matching invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation.
  • Maintain regular contact with vendors to ensure accounts are up to date.
  • Provide Accounts Payable information to other departments as required.
  • Manage payment runs.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoices and accounts payable matters.
  • Assist with the development of Company policies and procedures relating to finance functions, specifically to accounts payable.
  • Contribute to monitoring costs by department and provide explanations for significant expenditures.
  • Review accounts payable postings for completeness and accuracy.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries regarding accounts.
  • Provide backup relief for reception as required.
  • Work in compliance with workplace health and safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary education in Accounting or related discipline with mathematical aptitude.
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of Excel and Word and various Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
  • Superior punctuality and dependability.
  • Quick learner with strong initiative.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
