About the Role
Major Food Group is seeking Back Servers to join their team at Parm Upper West Side. Parm is known for its iconic Italian-American soul food, inspired by the cooking of Michelin-Starred chefs Mario Carbone and Rich Torrisi, served in a fun, familial environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service.
- Support the service team with ongoing table and floor maintenance, including water service, clearing and cleaning tables, and resetting tables.
- Respond appropriately to guest requests or issues by communicating effectively with the proper server or management.
- Assist in the cleaning and polishing of all tableware.
- Receive instruction from multiple sources and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Support team members in completing their duties to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Recite basic menu knowledge and run food to tables if needed.
- Stock, organize, and prepare service-related items.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of food and beverage serving experience.
- Excellent knowledge of dining and service procedures and functions.
- Professional presentation and positive attitude.
- Excellent knowledge of POS system.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Open availability; must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
