About the Role
The Technician I, Reliability performs maintenance and corrective repairs to enhance equipment reliability. This role involves identifying equipment deviations, assisting with troubleshooting, and applying skills to improve efficiency, throughput, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Learns and performs preventive and predictive maintenance tasks on packaging equipment according to SOPs.
- Performs condition-based monitoring and notes problems or changes on PM forms.
- Adheres to Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategies to minimize equipment downtime.
- Assists with troubleshooting problems or breakdowns on various packaging and manufacturing equipment.
- Assists in Master Cleanings and equipment set-ups, including breakdown, cleaning, re-assembly, and startup.
- Partners with senior technicians to learn cGMP equipment maintenance.
- Works collaboratively as a team member, contributing to project success and sharing insights.
- Conforms to all training requirements, including company and machine-specific training.
- Follows all applicable SOPs, including lock-out, tag-out, and PPE requirements.
- Completes assigned project work in a timely fashion.
- Attends mandatory Production, Maintenance, and other meetings.
Requirements
- Ability to develop and apply basic knowledge and skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to learn cGMP regulations.
- Ability to learn pharmaceutical maintenance and cGMP processes.
- Ability to learn to perform PM tasks and read basic schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints.
- Ability to learn equipment set-ups.
- Basic math and writing skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Must be able to stand for long periods (12-hour shifts).
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Must be able to wear a respirator and pass associated tests.
- Must be able to wear all required PPE, including safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety shoes.
