About the Role

Responsible for daily monitoring and observation of Casino operations, ensuring the security and integrity of assets, staff, and guests. This role ensures adherence to company policies, supports a learning environment, and maintains a safe and welcoming workplace. Operators conduct routine checks, support other departments in asset protection, and complete detailed reports for potential legal proceedings.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, documents, and reports procedural violations, large cash/cash equivalents transactions, excluded/self-excluded guests, and unauthorized access.
  • Reports violations to the supervisor.
  • Maintains accurate and concise logs and records.
  • Reports and documents all irregular, unusual, suspicious, and/or illegal activities.
  • Ensures health and safety directives and statutory regulations are followed.
  • Ensures compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission regulations and all applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

  • Must be proficient with computers.
  • Must be reliable and diligent, maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Possesses strong communication skills to effectively deal with all appropriate operational departments.
  • Ability to work all shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication.

Education Level

  • Secondary School diploma
  • Preference to graduates with a post-secondary education in Law and Security or Criminology
  • Ability to obtain registration as a category 2 Gaming Assistant (license) with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
