About the Role
Assured Guaranty is seeking a Product Software Developer to join our Secondary Market team. This role involves working closely with business analysts, product owners, and other engineers to build scalable front-ends for advanced products powered by data, AI, or advanced analytics, aiming to scale Secondary Market business operations. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for technology, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, or maintain scalable business products.
- Build responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular), HTML, and CSS.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote best practices.
- Debug issues, fix defects, and optimize application performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver products that meet business needs.
- Work with IT partners to ensure application security, reliability, and scalability.
- Document processes, configurations, and technical decisions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in front-end development.
- Proficiency in at least one modern front-end framework (React, Angular, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and present assignments concisely and accurately.
- Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently, maintaining accountability over assigned tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (if recent graduate).
Salary/Compensations
- $30 per hour to $32 per hour

- Housing stipend may be available for interns who will be residing outside of the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) for the duration of the summer internship program (June 8 – July 30).
