About the Role
The Designer assists the Vice President with strategic collaboration and coordination among cross-functional teams and external consultants/vendors to realize design project goals and facilitate the interior design process through all stages of design. This position performs thorough reviews of design drawings and submissions, ensures design compliance and integrity, and provides feedback to the interior design team. The position oversees design punch list review and quality control, manages FFE, OS&E and art program selection, conducts product research and sample procurement, and performs AutoCad drafting tasks and 3D modeling. The Designer further participates in OAC and coordination meetings, the construction administration process, and the submittal, RFI, and SK process. The Designer also collaborates with the marketing and sales team to create sales and marketing materials for projects. This position requires working at both office locations and active construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Vice President with strategic collaboration and coordination among cross-functional teams and external consultants/vendors.
- Facilitates the interior design process through all stages of design.
- Performs thorough reviews of design drawings and submissions.
- Ensures design compliance and integrity.
- Provides feedback regarding design, layouts and FFE to the interior design team.
- Oversees design punch list review and quality control.
- Manages FFE, OS&E and art program selection.
- Conducts product research and sample procurement.
- Performs AutoCad drafting tasks and 3D modeling.
- Participates in OAC and coordination meetings, including MEP, structure, and code compliance.
- Participates in the construction administration process.
- Participates in the submittal, RFI, and SK process.
- Collaborates with the marketing and sales team to create sales and marketing materials for projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
- Has three (3) years of relevant experience in interior design, architecture or similar, preferably within the real estate industry.
- Possesses strong FFE experience.
- Has sound design drawing knowledge and ability to review and redline drawings.
- Has knowledge of general workflow and processes for construction and design.
- Possesses effective communication (verbal and written), professional presentation, interpersonal, administrative, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Possesses architectural and interior technical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Has the effective ability to present recommendations and interact with senior management.
- Has the effective ability to work independently and within a team.
- Has the successful ability to take initiative, prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Autodesk AutoCad is required.
