About the Role
Conducts preventive maintenance, repair, installation, general servicing, and troubleshooting of mechanical HVAC systems. Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on-site customer interface and mentoring peers.
Responsibilities
- Conducts preventive maintenance, repair, installation, general servicing, and troubleshooting of mechanical HVAC systems.
- Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on-site customer interface.
- Mentors peers on mechanical HVAC installation and service activities.
- Completes required project and service documentation.
- Performs pneumatic control systems and mechanical equipment service as assigned by the Employer.
- Performs routine service and inspections, including changing and servicing filters, oiling and greasing, adjusting or replacing belts, cleaning cooling towers, coils, evaporator and condenser tubes, and general housekeeping.
- Maintains mechanical systems operation under contract with customers.
- Performs cleaning and routine maintenance of solar energy equipment.
- Conducts indoor air quality related work, including duct systems and drain pans.
Requirements
- Vocational School four-year program or an associate degree in mechanical systems, air conditioning, or similar field.
- Three years of industry experience or five years of experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
- Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation, and servicing techniques.
- Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company ethically and professionally.
- Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Leadership skills to support the activities of mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment.
