About the Role
Braun Intertec is seeking a Senior Manager to lead operations, client relations, and technical goals for their San Antonio, TX office. This role involves strategic development, team management, and financial oversight within a 100% employee-owned consulting firm.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive department/business unit strategy aligned with company goals.
- Ensure communication and engagement of strategic direction with key groups.
- Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
- Manage a team of professionals.
- Provide regular reports on department/business unit effectiveness.
- Accountable for the overall performance of the office’s operational, client, and technical goals for Engineering and Testing and Drilling divisions.
- Accountable for decision-making regarding office facilities, engagement, and local marketing.
- Monitor financial performance by analyzing Unit activities, costs, and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate employee performance and establish clear goals for staff development in technical skills, project management, and client service.
- Manage the appropriate personnel mix, including recruiting, hiring, and firing, to achieve office goals.
- Collaborate with managers and marketing staff to set direction for client pursuits and marketing goals.
- Direct client contracting in accordance with Braun Intertec’s Authority Grant Policy.
- Monitor individual employee project management skills related to financial performance and client retention.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with experience in geotechnical and construction materials testing.
- Texas PE preferred, or ability to obtain registration through reciprocity within 3 months.
- Five years of progressive related professional experience, including at least two years of leadership experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to successfully perform essential duties and responsibilities.
- New hires must complete a pre-employment drug screen test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
