About the Role
CT Real Estate Investment Trust (CT REIT) owns, manages, and develops income producing commercial properties across Canada. The ESG team drives CT REIT’s developing ESG strategy and is responsible for public ESG reporting and mandatory disclosures. This role supports CT REIT with annual building performance reporting, obtaining and processing energy and water consumption data, reviewing utility invoices, and uploading consumption data to management software.
Responsibilities
- Supporting CT REIT with annual building performance reporting to municipal and provincial regulators.
- Working with CT REIT’s tenants, utilities, and regulators to obtain and process energy and water consumption data, including cost data for CT REIT’s buildings.
- Reviewing utility invoices for anomalies, year-over-year variances, missing data and following up with utilities as for clarification as necessary.
- Uploading consumption data to CT REIT’s data management software and updating CT REIT’s data tracking spreadsheet.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program with a focus within engineering, environmental sciences, data science, architecture, environmental sustainability, or related discipline
- Knowledge of sustainable building and building decarbonization strategies an asset
- Data management and analysis skills (i.e. MS Excel)
- Self-motivated with ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, supporting exchanges with multiple stakeholders
