About the Role
Our Investment Banking and Capital Markets business offers comprehensive financial advisory and capital raising services, including M&A, supported by a robust debt and equity capital markets platform. The FinTech investment banking team focuses on fast-growing verticals such as payments, office of CFO technology, financial software, market structure technology, and digital assets and blockchain technology. Our global presence allows us to execute large, complex cross-border transactions.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of live transactions within the FinTech coverage team.
- Prepare detailed presentations and memoranda, and analyze client company attributes.
- Develop materials for client meetings concerning mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions.
- Apply advanced financial, economic, quantitative, and qualitative methods to evaluate and execute M&A, debt financing, and equity raising transactions.
- Build operating models and perform financial valuations (e.g., DCF, comparable transactions, leveraged buyouts).
- Analyze and synthesize detailed corporate and financial information, and conduct due diligence.
- Foster relationships with various product teams, including leverage debt capital markets, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, cash management, foreign exchange, and interest rate.
- Stay updated on sector trends and transactions.
- Issue final reports on client interactions and discussions to senior management.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to analysts and interns.
Requirements
- At least two years of investment banking experience with relevant exposure to the technology or FinTech sectors.
- Extensive experience providing quantitative and analytical support for M&A and capital markets transactions in the technology and/or FinTech sectors.
- Experience supporting senior bankers throughout the transaction lifecycle, including pitching, preparing marketing materials, financial models, and deal execution.
- Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred).
- Series 79, 63 licensing preferred.
