About the Role

LCP is seeking a C# Developer to join their Insurance Analytics team. This role is crucial for advancing LCP InsurSight, their leading insurance analytics platform. The developer will work closely with data scientists, actuaries, and industry specialists, offering a blend of technical development and industry application for professional growth.

Responsibilities

Iteratively enhance and develop features for LCP InsurSight, aligning with team strategy and client needs.
Focus primarily on C# development with supplementary involvement in other languages like Python.
Collaborate with actuaries, analytics specialists, and developers to integrate analytics into software solutions.
Implement industry-standard software development practices, including code quality, maintainability, and testing.
Research, evaluate, and prototype emerging technologies and methods.
Facilitate the dissemination of technical knowledge within the team to foster a learning culture.

Requirements

Demonstrable proficiency in C# development (.NET 6 / 8).
Practical knowledge of or eagerness to learn Azure PaaS/SaaS offerings (Azure Functions, App Services, Table/Queue/Blob Storage), ASP.NET WebAPI, and database technologies (CosmosDB).
Demonstrable knowledge of software engineering principles such as unit testing, change management control, and SOLID principles.
Exposure to or keen interest in the non-life insurance analytics domain.
Willingness to bridge technology and actuarial science.
Effective communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Ability to collaborate constructively within cross-functional teams.
A problem-solving mindset, proactive in identifying and addressing challenges.
Commitment to excellence and a penchant for continuous learning.
Familiarity with Agile development processes.
Experience in Python development is beneficial but not essential.
