About the Role
The Courtyard by Marriott in Buffalo Downtown/Canalside is seeking a Bistro Server for The Bistro, which serves breakfast, dinner, beer, wine, and Starbucks® coffee drinks.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests, take orders, ring orders into the POS system, and receive payment.
- Prepare food, coffee, and other beverages, including alcohol, meeting company and brand standards.
- Have a full knowledge of the entire menu.
- Set up bar for service, prepare drink orders, and serve alcohol responsibly according to state and local laws.
- Complete closing duties and ensure cleanliness of bar and cooler areas.
- Assist in Food and Beverage areas including bussing, cleaning, washing dishes, resetting tables, delivering food, and general cleaning of prep and lobby areas.
Requirements
- Previous hotel food and beverage or restaurant environment experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation is a plus.
- Ability to develop an understanding of company concepts, practices, and procedures related to guest service is necessary.
- Computer knowledge including intranet, Property management system, WORD, and EXCEL is strongly preferred.
- Must be 18 years or older to serve alcohol.
