About the Role
Major Food Group is hiring Line Cooks to join our team at Dirty French, an energetic bistro located in the Ludlow Hotel on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Dirty French enlivens classic French dishes with modern techniques and bold flavors, earning two stars from the New York Times.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
- Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff.
- Follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
- Clean station and manage leftover food.
- Stock inventory appropriately.
- Ensure food is served simultaneously, with high quality and in a timely fashion.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred.
- Full time availability with both AM and PM shifts.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
- Must be team-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
