About the Role

NFP, an Aon Company, is seeking an individual to join their Financial Lines and Management Liability team for the US. This role is responsible for broking new and renewal business, managing all aspects of placements from market selection to policy delivery. The VP, Broker will focus on complex placements, mentor staff, and cultivate strong relationships with insurers and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively coordinate and handle broking around the renewal cycle according to NFP’s service model standards and timelines.
  • Demonstrate exceptional negotiation skills, managing difficult scenarios and collaborating on solutions.
  • Complete client/prospect placements with a clear focus on driving optimal financial and non-financial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team and client to ensure complete and timely submissions, respond to carrier queries, and present recommendations.
  • Develop creative solutions for difficult placement scenarios and lead the process to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Lead team members in preparing proposal presentations for clients.
  • Support team members in responding to client queries and concerns.
  • Prepare detailed coverage and policy comparisons, diagnostics, analyses, letters, and reports.
  • Develop strong relationships with carrier, wholesale, and NFP partners.
  • Provide oversight and ensure accuracy of client and policy information in NFP’s Epic agency management system.
  • Drive deployment of data and analytics to provide meaningful program insight.
  • Develop differentiated client services through effective client stewardship.
  • Lead by example in completing NFP’s broking strategies, including strategic carriers, panels, and preferred wholesaler utilization.
  • Build and maintain detailed knowledge of the insurance marketplace, products, and services.

Requirements

  • Excellent leadership and portfolio management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound understanding of broker operating fundamentals and financials.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to adjust to changing workload, work complexity and priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a key team member and coach to junior team members.
  • Strong attention to detail with strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
  • Proven technical competency and creativity demonstrating excellence in creating and delivering innovative property and casualty solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Epic (AMS) is a plus.
