About the Role
CAMH is seeking a Research Assistant 2 to support the Toronto Adolescent and Youth (TAY) Cohort Study and related substudies. This role involves coordinating recruitment and retention, assisting with participant screening, informed consent, scheduling, sample coordination, and data collection. You will also help develop SOPs, perform data entry and quality control, and maintain study documents and databases.
Responsibilities
- Support coordination of recruitment and retention of study participants.
- Assist with recruiting and screening study participants.
- Obtain informed consent from participants.
- Schedule participant interviews.
- Coordinate samples.
- Perform data collection from participants.
- Assist with the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform data entry and data quality control tasks.
- Maintain study documents and databases.
- Perform other administrative duties as needed.
- Support and contribute to a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years Community College with a background in health or social sciences, or equivalent.
- 1 year of relevant experience in a child and youth-focused clinical research setting.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to produce high-quality, accurate work while meeting project deadlines and requirements.
- Strong PC software skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a wide range of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

- The offer of employment will be conditional upon receipt of the satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check.
