About the Role
SERVPRO Team MLR is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Business Development Representative to expand our presence throughout the New Orleans Metro and Slidell markets. This is a field-based sales position responsible for prospecting, developing referral relationships, generating qualified leads, and converting new business opportunities into restoration and reconstruction projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan to generate new business throughout the New Orleans Metro and Slidell markets.
- Conduct consistent face-to-face prospecting, door-to-door outreach, marketing visits, and sales calls within the assigned territory.
- Identify and pursue prospective customers, referral partners, and strategic accounts.
- Introduce SERVPRO’s emergency restoration, mitigation, and reconstruction services to businesses, property owners, property managers, insurance professionals, and other decision-makers.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads and actively move opportunities through each stage of the sales process.
- Monitor and track reported fire, water, and other property-loss events throughout the assigned territory.
- Respond promptly to identified sales opportunities by visiting affected locations and connecting with the appropriate decision-makers.
- Establish, maintain, and strengthen long-term professional relationships through regular visits, marketing calls, networking, and follow-up communication.
- Generate qualified leads and convert sales opportunities into new projects, referral relationships, and repeat business.
- Meet or exceed established expectations for prospecting activity, appointments, lead generation, revenue, and territory growth.
- Use Salesforce to document daily activities, contacts, leads, opportunities, follow-up actions, and account information.
- Maintain accurate records of property losses, prospect visits, referrals, sales activity, and follow-up efforts.
- Attend networking events, association meetings, community events, and other business-development opportunities as needed.
- Monitor local market conditions, competitor activity, and potential sources of new business.
- Provide management with regular updates regarding sales activity, pipeline development, revenue opportunities, market conditions, and territory performance.
- Collaborate with operations and leadership to support a positive customer experience and successful transition from lead generation to project completion.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least three to five years of direct sales experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect independently, generate qualified leads, develop a sales pipeline, and close new business.
- Comfortable conducting door-to-door outreach, cold calling, networking, and initiating conversations with new prospects.
Skills
- Salesforce experience is preferred.
- Experience using customer relationship management software.

Experience Level
- Three to five years of direct sales experience
- Previous experience in outside sales, business-to-business sales, territory development, account management, or relationship-based selling strongly preferred.
- Experience in restoration, construction, property management, insurance, home services, commercial services, or a related industry is a plus.
Education Level
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
Salary/Compensations
- Compensation range listed includes base salary plus commission. Total earnings may exceed the posted range based on individual performance and revenue generated from jobs attributable to the Business Development Representative.
