About the Role
This role is for a motivated and technically strong Mechanical Engineer to join our Healthcare team and contribute to the delivery of complex, high-impact healthcare facilities. You will apply your mechanical engineering expertise and project management skills across a diverse portfolio of healthcare projects, from concept through construction, developing practical, reliable, and innovative engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Delivers technical designs for projects of varying complexity.
- Independently creates conceptual designs, design specifications, and assesses constructability.
- Independently develops and signs off on standards and reports.
- Assists in creating project plans and participates in project management meetings.
- Provides improvement recommendations to ensure project deliverables and timelines are met.
- Peer reviews work of more junior engineers for conventional projects.
- Completes own work within budgeted hours.
- Ensures technical accuracy of deliverables.
- Accountable for all designs through to construction completion.
- Works independently in solving difficult and complex problems.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- P.Eng with PEO
- 5+ years engineering consulting experience
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
- Good accuracy and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
- Passionate about buildings and the built environment
