About the Role
Manages teams responsible for developing and delivering IT solutions, analyzing technology trends, and providing assessments and solutions to business issues. Ensures the development of high-quality, low-cost technology solutions aligned with client and business needs, while establishing relationships with employees and key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Leads and mentors staff, including supervisors, consultants, and professional staff.
- Accountable for hardware/software planning, vendor selection, acquisition, problem resolution, integration, testing, and installation.
- Contributes to annual technology solution plans, assesses client requirements, analyzes architecture, evaluates solutions, and presents recommendations.
- Collaborates with business units to set priorities and annual investments, managing budgets for supported products and services.
- Influences the development of standards and decisions regarding system/application changes, providing technical and business expertise.
- Manages systems analysis, design, development, installation, maintenance, and enhancement for mission-critical applications.
- Resolves client technical problems, develops technical responses for RFQs, addresses product issues, and delivers new software releases.
- Develops project resourcing strategies, allocates budget, staff, tools, and support for cost-effective implementation and training.
- Works with departments to establish and monitor performance metrics, sharing results with users.
- Manages business partner relationships and contract negotiations for supported products and services.
- Organizes and coordinates team activities for software, hardware, and network facility installation, deployment, and upgrades.
- Manages the technical interface to business units/clients, including RFQ specification review, testing, modeling, and interfacing with development.
- Ensures technology solutions comply with architectural standards and methodologies.
- Builds and maintains client relationships, ensuring integrated processes support client needs and service levels.
- Manages daily activities of the assigned area, providing leadership, direction, and growth opportunities.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, planning work, appraising performance, disciplining, and resolving team member issues.
- Manages the development and delivery of training for internal IT and external users.
- Ensures team members are aware of risks, observe policies, and report violations.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- 8 years of IT work experience including supervising team(s) responsible for software application and/or business unit support.
- Ability to stand or walk regularly.
- Ability to sit regularly.
- Ability to talk and hear regularly.
- Ability to see objects up close or at a distance, use peripheral vision, and identify basic colors.
- Ability to use hands and reach.
Experience Level
- 8 years of IT work experience
Education Level
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
