About the Role
This role focuses on the implementation and optimization of academic planning processes, including timetabling and room allocation, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting student enrollment and program accreditation. The position also involves leading the evaluation and implementation of digital tools for scheduling operations and supporting strategic development plans.
Responsibilities
- Implementation and optimization of academic planning processes related to timetabling and room allocation
- Ensuring data completeness and accuracy in university systems
- Monitoring and controlling timetable planning, including oversight of the overall course offerings, tracking teaching hours for internal and external instructors, and planning and supervision of degree programs
- Development and implementation of room utilization concepts for lecture halls and other spaces for both academic and non-academic events, as well as evaluation and continuous improvement of effective room usage
- Creation and development of course and event calendars
- Support in the enrollment process
- Organization and support of EHL on the study programmes offered every semester
- Participation in accreditation processes for existing and new programmes
- Oversee student-facing service delivery via on-site service hours and digital communication
- Lead case management for complex student cases in collaboration with service department counterparts
- Lead evaluation, implementation, and optimization of digital tools supporting scheduling operations
- Support the Director of Student Services on strategic development and continuous improvement plans
- Manage the implementation of a new scheduling tool by September 2027
Requirements
- Completed university degree and relevant professional experience in higher education administration
- Initial experience in leading and managing teams
- Enjoy working with cross-campus teams and collaborating with various stakeholders and functional interfaces
- A high level of initiative, organizational talent, teamwork, reliability, commitment, loyalty, and flexibility
Skills
- CampusNet database system or a comparable scheduling and planning system
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
