About the Role

Community Housing Innovations (CHI) is seeking a full-time Senior Case Manager for its Wading River location. This role involves supervising social work services within an emergency housing setting, ensuring quality services are provided effectively and in compliance with established guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention as appropriate.
  • Support direct case management duties as needed.
  • Provide regular supervision for Case Managers.
  • Conduct 1 to 1 meetings with team members and update performance goals, accomplishments, notes, and feedback in Paycom on a regular basis.
  • Ensure the program provides quality services and is compliant with program requirements.
  • Promote sound social work practices through supervision, including case consultations, case file reviews, and employee performance appraisals.
  • Ensure the timely and correct submission of all internal and external reports as required by funding agencies and/or CHI.
  • Inform Program Manager of deficiencies that require additional staff training.
  • Act as a liaison with agencies responsible for referring eligible clients.
  • Adhere to proper use of company resources.
  • Act as a role model to Case Management staff in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Provide staff with ongoing training and growth opportunities.
  • Participate in the hiring process, initial and annual employee evaluations, and disciplinary measures.
  • Oversee appropriate coverage and payroll procedures within the department.
  • Provide on-call coverage as needed.

Requirements

  • BSW required.
  • MSW from an accredited university or related field of study preferred.
  • 2-5 years’ experience providing management services preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English required.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Basic competency in MS Windows, MS Office, and internet usage.
  • Knowledge of Foothold Awards System a plus.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to tour properties, walk distances, climb stairs, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize, make appropriate decisions and judgment calls.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Highly organized.
