About the Role

The Senior Cards Product Manager will support and drive the growth of our Commercial Cards products globally, meeting customer needs while ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining risk management controls. This role is instrumental in driving change and innovation, requiring a flexible yet resolute approach to execute breakthrough strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute key strategic initiatives and programs delivering Corporate Cards solutions globally.
  • Support the product strategy for Corporate Cards globally, collaborating with Global Heads of Product Management and Development.
  • Analyze and report on product performance, defining and tracking KPIs for the GPS Commercial Cards business globally.
  • Maintain a robust control environment for Corporate Cards, ensuring operational and financial compliance with HSBC policies.
  • Manage product operating risk, ensuring effective and sustainable risk oversight and mitigants.
  • Support regulatory changes impacting the Corporate Card business, including understanding the regulatory climate and providing input into consultations.
  • Drive a customer-focused environment with globally consistent, market-leading propositions.
  • Monitor emerging payment trends to understand their impact on Corporate Cards.
  • Conduct competitor research and benchmarking of product capabilities.
  • Build and manage relationships with regional teams and strategic partners to identify opportunities and drivers for change.
  • Conduct regular governance meetings with strategic partners to monitor and grow joint proposition performance.
  • Lead efforts in creating assets for client conversations.
  • Support regional product teams in achieving committed growth targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and key third parties like Mastercard and Visa.
  • Ensure the Product team is responsive to stakeholder requirements and promotes awareness of Card products, propositions, strategies, and initiatives.
  • Encourage constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork through collaboration and matrix management.
  • Work collaboratively within the global cards product management team to support joint product management, partnerships, and commercialization goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in product management.
  • Strong preference for experience in cards, preferably Commercial Cards.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information to varied audiences.
  • Proven experience leading initiative delivery with a focus on outcome and performance tracking.
  • Experience in commercialization and business management.
  • Excellent visualization and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Business Analyst activities/frameworks.
  • Proven experience working successfully in complex, matrixed organizations, leading through influence.
