About the Role
Flywire's Travel business is rapidly growing, and we are seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our sales team. This role is perfect for a motivated sales professional aiming to build their career by contributing to both pipeline generation and deal closures. The Associate AE will dedicate 80% of their time to BDR responsibilities, focusing on lead generation and pipeline growth, and 20% to AE responsibilities, including closing smaller targeted accounts. If you are passionate about learning, excited about sales, and ready to make an impact in a dynamic and collaborative environment, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
- Leverage prospecting channels such as cold calling, email, and social media to identify and qualify sales opportunities.
- Manage inbound leads and convert them into qualified sales opportunities for the team.
- Partner with the marketing team to enhance campaigns and drive lead conversions.
- Research and identify new potential travel operator, DMC, and accommodation clients.
- Work closely with senior Account Executives and managers to support pipeline growth and sales strategy.
- Partner with internal teams, including marketing, product, and implementation, to ensure a seamless client experience.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree (required).
- 1-2 years of sales experience; experience in payments or the travel industry is highly advantageous.
- Proactive, organised, and self-motivated with a strong desire to grow within a sales organisation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to establish rapport quickly with clients.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
