About the Role

As a Graduate Systems Engineer, you will be involved in complex rail and transportation infrastructure programmes, contributing to projects that shape global movement of people and goods. You will gain exposure to diverse challenges and opportunities across multiple sectors and international markets, working alongside experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver systems engineering and assurance solutions to transport infrastructure owners and design and construction companies.
  • Manage requirements.
  • Develop system architecture.
  • Perform systems integration.
  • Conduct design assurance.
  • Execute verification and validation.
  • Provide expertise in reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM).
  • Provide expertise in engineering safety management (ESM).
  • Contribute to major network enhancements and new railway developments.
  • Contribute to integrated transport and aviation systems.

Requirements

  • Less than 12 months' relevant experience (excluding placements).
  • Bachelors/Masters degree obtained no earlier than 2025, or expected to achieve one.
  • Demonstrate genuine interest in the opportunity and Mott MacDonald.
  • Highlight relevant experience or interests, such as modules studied, previous work experience, or research about the company, values, and projects.
  • Proactively takes initiative to complete tasks efficiently and independently.
  • Communicates effectively and clearly with clients and colleagues.
  • Delivers high-quality written work with strong attention to detail and clarity.
  • Demonstrates a structured and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Not eligible for Graduate visa route or other time-limited visas requiring future sponsorship.
  • Eligible for alternative UK immigration routes that do not require sponsorship.
