About the Role

Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. This role enables a consistent experience for guests by ensuring product is in stock, available, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor in small format stores. Experts of service, operations, process, and efficiency, this team is responsible for being proficient in all areas of the store to complete duties such as cashiering, stocking, and presentation. You’ll provide exceptional guest service, customizing each experience and anticipating guest needs.

Responsibilities

Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs.
Thank guests and express appreciation for their choice to shop at Target.
Be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
Assist guests while completing workload with minimal disruption.
Work in all departments to ensure the sales floor is full, zoned, and stocked.
Assist with truck unload process and stock product to the sales floor.
Make changes to sales floor merchandise displays across all departments.
Conduct weekly price change workload and ensure accurate signing for all departments.
Complete scans and system audit functions to ensure inventory accuracy.
Support execution of major transitions.
Maintain interior and exterior brand standards, including emptying garbage, attending to restroom cleanliness, collecting carts, charging electronic carts, RVM maintenance, and attending to spills.
Accurately execute all fills (floor, liability, guest requests) and organize/store reserve product.
Process all inbound deliveries using the receive application to ensure inventory accuracy.
Complete all backroom daily and weekly audits.
Operate powered equipment (if certified) to move merchandise.
Maintain backroom organization and location accuracy, following equipment guidelines.
Follow processes accurately with attention to detail, monitor own progress, and prioritize tasks.
Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
Work safely at all times, comply with safety policies, and report/correct hazards.
Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive-up (DU), maintaining compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Ability to resolve guest questions immediately.
Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
Ability to climb up and down ladders.
Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely.
Ability to frequently lift or move merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift or move merchandise and fixtures up to 44 pounds without assistance.
Reliable and prompt attendance necessary.
Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements.
Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
