About the Role
The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent guest experience by maintaining product freshness, availability, accurate pricing, and proper display. This role focuses on operations, process efficiency, and managing all aspects of the store's food and beverage areas, including replenishment, inventory, food safety, presentation, and pricing.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience, prioritizing guest needs over tasks.
- Uphold and maintain the execution of Food & Beverage Standards.
- Execute Food & Beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, straightening merchandise, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing reserve product.
- Follow all food safety requirements.
- Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
- Work with vendors to set, maintain, and change sales floor merchandise displays and keep backroom space organized.
- Locate and identify damaged, recalled, or expired items and process them according to policy.
- Be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to solve guest issues.
- Execute all federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
- Appropriately use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive-up (DU).
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests.
- Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs.
- Thank guests.
- Perform other duties based on business needs.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older (Bakery Only).
- Previous food or grocery experience preferred, but not required.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Ability to resolve guest questions quickly.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
- Ability to climb up and down ladders.
- Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds.
- Ability to work in an environment that could range from 34°F to -10°F as needed.
- Ability to work in spaces where common allergens may be handled or present.
- Ability to work in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
