About the Role

As a Professional Project Manager, you will shape and manage demanding digital administration projects focused on migration and internal affairs. You will bridge customer needs, technical expertise, and technology to transform complex requirements into practical digital solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Realize demanding IT and digitalization projects of social relevance with a focus on migration and internal affairs, using agile or hybrid methods.
  • Take responsibility for projects throughout their entire lifecycle, managing scope, time, budget, quality, and risks.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams in various technological contexts, including digital administration services, specialized applications, content and form management systems, and custom IT solutions, ensuring structured and reliable teamwork.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders as a central point of contact, working closely with clients from public administration.
  • Translate client requirements into viable IT solutions and digital processes with interdisciplinary teams and oversee their implementation from conception to successful go-live.
  • Support clients with digital transformation inquiries and identify opportunities for further development of existing projects and solutions.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in project management for development or digitalization projects, with the ability to manage projects independently from end to end.
  • Experience in managing interdisciplinary project teams and confidently taking responsibility for scope, budget, time, quality, and risks.
  • Ideally, experience with digitalization projects in public administration and/or a professional background in migration and internal affairs.
  • Familiarity and appreciation for collaboration with external clients, understanding project management as a customer-oriented delivery role.
  • Confident communication skills across different levels of project organization.
  • Proficiency in agile and/or classic project management methodologies; experience with scaled agile approaches or hybrid project setups is a plus.
  • Ideally, a relevant project management or agile certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI, Scrum PSM/PSPO).
  • A completed university degree providing the professional foundation for the role.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
