About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will shape and manage challenging digital administration projects related to migration and internal affairs. You will bridge the gap between clients, subject matter expertise, and technology, transforming complex requirements into functional digital solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Realize challenging IT and digitalization projects of social relevance with a focus on migration and internal affairs, using agile or hybrid methods.
  • Take responsibility for projects throughout their entire lifecycle, managing scope, time, budget, quality, and risks.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams in various technological contexts, including digital administration services, specialized applications, content and form management systems, and custom IT solutions, ensuring structured and reliable teamwork.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders as the central point of contact, working closely with public administration clients.
  • Translate client requirements into viable IT solutions and digital processes with interdisciplinary teams and oversee their implementation from conception to successful go-live.
  • Support clients with digital transformation inquiries and identify opportunities for the further development of existing projects and solutions.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in project management for development or digitalization projects, with the ability to manage projects independently from end to end.
  • Experience in managing interdisciplinary project teams and confidently taking responsibility for scope, budget, time, quality, and risks.
  • Ideally, experience with digitalization projects in public administration and/or a subject matter background in migration and internal affairs.
  • Familiarity and appreciation for collaboration with external clients, understanding project management as a customer-oriented delivery role, and possessing strong communication skills to navigate different levels of project organization.
  • Proficiency in agile and/or classic project management methodologies; experience with scaled agile approaches or hybrid project setups is a plus.
  • An academic degree providing the professional foundation for the role.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
