About the Role
The Head of Tax Reporting is responsible for preparing consolidated tax provisions for the Group, ensuring timely and accurate tax forecasting, and leading initiatives like Pillar 2 and CbCR. This key leadership role reports into the Director of Tax and collaborates with the tax teams in London and the US.
Responsibilities
- Own the process for the provision of tax numbers for inclusion in the Group’s consolidated annual accounts under US GAAP.
- Produce the tax consolidation.
- Calculate solus tax provisions for all worldwide entities.
- Manage federal and state calculations for the US, including BEAT, NCTI, 163j, tax depreciation, and loss offsets.
- Calculate Uncertain Tax Provisions in line with ASC 740.
- Recognize and disclose deferred tax assets and liabilities under US GAAP principles.
- Prepare consolidated accounts disclosures.
- Manage the relationship with external auditors for a smooth process.
- Prepare tax numbers and manage effective tax rate for quarterly reporting and forecasts.
- Build and operate a new forecast model.
- Prepare tax provisions under UK GAAP for UK statutory accounts and manage the associated audit process.
- Prepare tax provisions under US GAAP for US subsidiaries and manage the associated audit process.
- Manage group cash tax forecasting.
- Prepare the Group’s public and regular CbCR reports.
- Lead the integration of the Group’s new ERP into tax reporting processes.
- Develop new processes to support tax reporting workstreams, including potential implementation of tax reporting software.
- Lead and coordinate the provision of data for Pillar II and QDMTT submissions by external providers.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CTA etc.
- Experienced in delivering consolidated tax provisions in a similarly complex multinational environment.
- Very strong technical accounting knowledge.
- US GAAP experience preferred.
- Process-oriented individual competent at building and improving processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Team player.
