About the Role
A compassionate, reliable, and experienced Personal Care Assistant is required to support a gentleman in his late 70s who lives with his family in Islington. The gentleman has complex care needs and requires support in his own home. He is non-verbal, uses a BiPAP machine for sleep apnoea, has a tracheostomy, and experiences left-sided paralysis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, person-centred care to ensure his comfort, safety, and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and support with daily living activities
- Assisting with mobility, positioning, and transfers
- Supporting tracheostomy care and respiratory needs
- Monitoring and assisting with BiPAP therapy as required
- Communicating effectively using non-verbal methods
- Working closely with the family and healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Must have tracheostomy experience
- Minimum Commitment: 24 hours per week
