About the Role

Contribute to a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects across power generation, transmission planning, network development, and grid connections. Apply power systems expertise to deliver high-quality studies, develop network models, interpret complex results, and provide clear technical advice to clients. This role offers an opportunity for greater ownership of project delivery, deepened technical capability, and consulting experience alongside PSC specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake complex power system studies supporting critical investment, planning, connection, and operational decisions.
  • Perform load flow, short circuit, transient stability, voltage stability, small signal, generator and load connection, arc-flash, insulation coordination, feasibility, and network planning studies.
  • Develop and validate network models using industry-standard simulation tools.
  • Analyze study outcomes and prepare clear, accurate technical reports.
  • Coordinate technical activities with project leaders, clients, and global specialists.
  • Manage work against project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
  • Support client relationships, proposals, and case studies.
  • Share technical knowledge and guide less-experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a power systems specialization.
  • Five or more years of professional experience delivering power system studies outside an academic environment.
  • Practical experience across generation, transmission, network planning, or grid connection projects.
  • Advanced capability in simulation software such as PSS®E, PSCAD, and/or DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
  • Experience using multiple software packages is highly regarded.
  • Ability to independently deliver technical workstreams.
  • Clear communication of outcomes.
  • Effective collaboration with clients and global teams.
  • Progress towards professional engineering registration is highly regarded.
