About the Role

EHDD is seeking an individual to help lead the firm's adoption of AI in architectural practice. This role involves embedding within project teams to connect coding and AI tools to real workflows, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and targeting key workflows for automation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with the team on AI strategy and adoption roadmap.
  • Serve as the go-to person connecting coding/AI tools to real workflows across the MS 365 stack, including Copilot and Power Automate.
  • Pilot, test, and roll out AI tools across project management, design, documentation, visualization, accounting, marketing, and project delivery.
  • Teach the firm how to effectively use new AI tools.
  • Drive adoption through training, documentation, and ongoing support.
  • Track and communicate the impact of new tools and workflows through metrics such as time savings, user adoption, project efficiency, and information quality.
  • Capture and share successful workflows, templates, prompts, and lessons learned.
  • Assist with project startup and closeout.
  • Prepare milestone documents with the design team and consultants.
  • Maintain design team directories in MS Teams and TonicDM.
  • Manage design team access to MS Teams, Bluebeam, and other platforms.
  • Reinforce file naming, metadata, and organization standards across platforms.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail and strong ownership of problems and situations.
  • Genuine tech curiosity and self-starter energy.
  • Comfort, ideally fluency, in MS 365 and Claude.
  • Strong communication skills to explain workflows and technical constraints.
  • Architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) practice experience is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of project management, design, documentation, and project delivery workflows and deliverables.
  • Strong technology judgment and systems thinking.
  • Ability to balance innovation with practicality, focusing on solutions that teams will adopt and maintain.
