About the Role
Morrison Foerster is seeking talented and ambitious aspiring lawyers for its 2027 Summer Vacation Scheme in London. This scheme offers a chance to experience the firm, with summer associates undertaking tasks similar to trainee solicitors, including drafting legal documents, assisting in negotiations, shadowing client meetings, and performing due diligence. Participants receive mentorship, training, and experience the firm's values and culture. The vacation scheme is the sole method for selecting future trainees.
Responsibilities
- Drafting legal documents such as briefs, contracts, and client memoranda
- Assisting in drafting and negotiation sessions
- Shadowing client meetings or calls
- Performing due diligence in corporate transactions
Requirements
- On track for, or have already achieved, a minimum of a 2(i) degree (or equivalent)
- A minimum of AAB (or equivalent) at A Level
- Law students should apply from the penultimate year of their degree
- Non-law students should apply from the final year of their degree
- Applicants with industry experience should apply before the relevant deadline based on their desired training contract start year
