About the Role
Seeking an experienced Field Care Supervisor passionate about delivering person-centred care and ensuring care professionals are competent, well-supported, and continuously developing. Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coach a dedicated team of care professionals, fostering a supportive and collaborative working environment.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions with team members, identifying development opportunities and supporting professional growth.
- Deliver competency assessments to evaluate care professionals' skills and knowledge.
- Provide on-site support visits and training to care professionals, demonstrating best practice.
- Ensure clients have updated, person-centred care plans that reflect their needs, preferences, and goals.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes across all field operations.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, care standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to and resolve care-related concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by gathering feedback and implementing positive changes.
- Contribute to staff wellbeing initiatives.
- Liaise with management, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure seamless service provision.
Requirements
- 1-2 years' experience in a supervisory, leadership, or senior care professional role within health and social care, or equivalent demonstrable experience in a team-leading capacity.
- Experience delivering or receiving supervision, coaching, and mentoring to care professionals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of person-centred care principles and their application in practice.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, care standards, and regulatory requirements (CQC, Health and Social Care Act).
- Experience with or exposure to competency assessments and identifying training needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently in field settings, and maintain detailed records.
