About the Role

Jefferies is seeking a Vice President to join its M&A team in London. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the execution of complex M&A transactions while supporting senior bankers in originating new business opportunities. This position offers significant responsibility, client exposure, and the opportunity to work on some of the most complex strategic transactions across Europe.

Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day execution of mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory, and corporate finance assignments.
Manage transaction workstreams from initiation through signing and completion.
Coordinate due diligence processes and liaise with clients, legal advisers, accountants, consultants, and other external stakeholders.
Oversee the preparation and review of financial analyses, valuation materials, board presentations, information memoranda, and transaction documentation.
Ensure the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of all client-facing materials.
Review and guide sophisticated financial modelling, including: Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis, Trading and transaction comparables, Accretion/dilution analysis, Merger consequences analysis, Leveraged buyout analysis.
Assess strategic alternatives and transaction structures to support client decision-making.
Build trusted relationships with clients and maintain regular interaction with senior executives.
Participate in client meetings, board presentations, and strategic discussions.
Act as a key day-to-day point of contact throughout transaction processes.
Support senior bankers in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Contribute to pitching activities and strategic marketing initiatives.
Prepare and review client presentations, industry analyses, and transaction ideas.
Monitor sector developments and broader M&A market activity to identify opportunities for clients.
Supervise, mentor, and develop Analysts and Associates.
Review financial models, presentations, and other work products.
Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture while fostering professional development within the team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a strong academic track record.
Relevant investment banking experience with substantial exposure to M&A advisory.
Demonstrated track record of executing complex transactions.
Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, deal structuring, and transaction processes.
Experience managing multiple stakeholders and workstreams simultaneously.
Proven ability to lead and develop junior professionals.
