About the Role
Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft, making us the financial technology platform of choice. The Account Management team is critical to the growth and success of our business, as well as expanding the Adyen brand across the globe. This role offers the opportunity to manage relationships with innovative international merchants, work on cross-functional initiatives, and become an expert in the global payments landscape.
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with innovative international merchants.
- Work on cross-functional initiatives and projects.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience to mid-sized, fast-growth merchants.
- Find new opportunities and drive mutual success for Adyen and customers.
- Collaborate closely with other Account Managers on various accounts across different industries.
- Ramp and grow customers with a focus on commercial growth, customer satisfaction, and churn reduction.
- Drive commercial discussions for joint accounts, meeting strategic and financial targets.
- Prioritize and manage short and long-term projects with varying timelines across multiple accounts.
- Serve as an internal feedback loop for customers.
Requirements
- Enjoy engaging others and developing strong working relationships internally and externally.
- Natural-born networker and self-starter with strong communication skills.
- Ability to organize and lead customer meetings in person, over the phone, or online.
- Passionate about working on a wide portfolio of accounts and learning about the payments industry.
- Eager to identify commercial opportunities and drive commercial discussions with customers.
- Strong time management skills and a focus on efficiency.
- 1-3 years of full-time work experience in a client-facing, commercial role (e.g., account management, consulting, or payments industry from a merchant side).
- Experience in complex enterprise software, technical infrastructure, or financial services is a plus.
- Full professional written and verbal proficiency in German and English.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
