About the Role

The Program and Delivery Manager is a senior partner to Product and R&D leadership, responsible for bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to planning, prioritization, and delivery. This role owns the roadmap planning system, ensuring clear goals, proper sequencing, and consistent achievement. It focuses on enabling the Product and R&D organization to meet commitments through shared systems and rhythms, increasing team velocity and delivery predictability. The role also involves identifying and solving systemic blockers to improve team speed and confidence, with a focus on AI-First Engineering practices.

Responsibilities

Partner with Product and R&D leadership to build and maintain the area’s roadmap, ensuring the right work is resourced, sequenced, and owned.
Maintain full capacity visibility across the area to ground planning decisions in reality.
Drive the translation of business goals into sized, sequenced deliverables with clearly owned dates.
Own the commitment list, keeping it visible, current, and actively protected.
Lead a consistent weekly cadence with Product and R&D leaders to review progress, allocate resources, and resolve blockers.
Take active ownership of risk and dependency management, identifying risks early, tracking mitigations, coordinating across teams, and escalating decisively.
Keep priorities visible at the team level to ensure day-to-day work aligns with organizational goals.
Act as an active enabler of AI adoption across Product and R&D, identifying opportunities and removing barriers.
Partner with Product and R&D teams to embed AI-powered workflows into everyday practices.
Track AI usage and outcomes across the organization to demonstrate impact and build the case for investment.
Identify recurring friction, bottlenecks, and cross-functional misalignment, bringing structured analysis and proposed solutions to leadership.
Contribute to the evolution of shared delivery practices across Product and R&D.
Own the metrics picture for the area, tracking delivery-flow indicators and ensuring data reliability and actionability.
Build and communicate a clear narrative of team velocity to drive continuous improvement conversations.
Tailor reporting for both technical and executive audiences.
Monitor team health signals and work with leaders to address issues affecting delivery or retention.
Champion purposeful, lightweight processes that improve flow and challenge ceremony that has become overhead.

Requirements

Experience across multiple engineering teams in a SaaS or cybersecurity environment.
Experience holding people accountable without direct authority.
Experience building visibility that makes leadership informed and confident.
A background in Technical Program Management, Delivery Management, or Engineering Program Management.
At least 5 years working across multi-team Product and R&D organizations.
A track record of owning roadmap planning and execution end-to-end.
The analytical capability to build a metrics framework, interpret delivery-flow data, and turn signals into a coherent narrative that drives decisions.
Strong cross-functional influence – the ability to drive alignment and accountability across Product, R&D, and leadership without relying on organizational authority.
Fluency in agile delivery practices, technical enough to engage credibly in trade-off, estimation, and risk conversations with engineering teams, and pragmatic enough to apply frameworks without being dogmatic.
Exceptional communication skills – able to translate complex delivery dynamics into clear, actionable insight for both technical teams and senior leadership.
A genuine interest in how AI tools are changing the way Product and R&D teams work, and a drive to accelerate adoption where it creates real value.
High ownership and a team-first mindset – bringing problems with proposed solutions, following through, and measuring success by team achievements.
