About the Role

Williams F1 Team is undergoing a significant brand evolution, and digital platforms are central to how fans, partners, and the world experience the brand. This role leads the digital creative output, ensuring the quality and direction of all digital assets across owned channels, integrating creative, social, and brand efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the digital creative output, owning the quality and direction of everything across owned digital channels.
  • Set the standard for digital brand expression, pushing for sharper, more distinctive, and effective work.
  • Lead concept development for major digital moments, from brief to delivery.
  • Oversee and contribute hands-on to design work, maintaining quality without becoming a bottleneck.
  • Work with Heads of Creative, Social, and Brand to align digital creative with broader strategy.
  • Ensure digital outputs are integrated with social campaigns and brand activity.
  • Act as a liaison between teams, unifying creative efforts.
  • Represent the digital channel with authority in senior creative discussions.
  • Partner with the Fan Growth & Performance team to deliver high-performing creative.
  • Champion a test and learn culture across digital creative.
  • Use performance data and fan insights to inform creative decisions.
  • Support the development of scalable creative systems.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the digital design team.
  • Lead briefing, feedback, and review processes for the team.
  • Identify resourcing needs and manage external partners.
  • Set a culture of accountability, creative ambition, and collaboration.
  • Own the digital component library, design system, and motion principles.
  • Work with the Head of Brand to ensure consistency with the wider visual identity.
  • Identify opportunities for digital brand enhancement and advocate for them.

Requirements

  • 7 or more years of design experience, with a proven track record leading digital creative at a senior level.
  • Experience ideally within a fast-moving consumer, sports, or entertainment brand, or a top agency in that space.
  • Strong creative leader with a clear point of view and credibility.
  • Deep fluency across web, app, campaign, performance creative, and brand.
  • Experience managing and developing designers.
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable working at the intersection of multiple creative disciplines.
  • Expert in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
  • Data-informed but creatively led approach.
  • Calm under pressure, decisive, and collaborative.
  • Passionate about Formula 1 or a similar level of commitment to a sport or culture.
