About the Role

This Water Resources position focuses on stormwater planning and design, asset management, water quality, and integrated planning, driving the growth and development of Black & Veatch's water resources practice, primarily in Northern California but with opportunities across the U.S.

Responsibilities

Lead the pursuit and execution of water resources projects.
Perform planning, modeling, and design of stormwater improvements.
Plan and design green infrastructure and sustainable watershed measures.
Plan and design flood mitigation improvements.
Develop erosion and sediment control plans and SWPPPs.
Manage regulatory compliance and permitting efforts.
Provide business development leadership to identify and capture services.
Build client relationships to drive business growth.
Act as Project Manager for project execution.
Interface with partners to leverage new technologies.
Provide technical mentorship to professionals.
Identify, recruit, and supervise earlier-career professionals.
Support the growth of the Planning business by identifying opportunities in water supply, master planning, asset management, and condition assessment.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
11+ years of water resources planning, stormwater permitting, and design experience.
Experience developing and executing water resource planning and design projects.
Experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements and NPDES Permitting for Municipal, Construction, and Industrial sectors.
Experience driving client-facing/business development efforts including tracking and responding to RFP/Qs.
