About the Role

Identify, develop, and win new service and maintenance business by offering solutions utilizing Gardner Denver's Product Range and Service capability. Accelerate key aftermarket opportunities and accounts within an assigned territory while maintaining high customer satisfaction. New business development is the primary focus (70%), with 30% dedicated to account management.

Responsibilities

  • Determine market possibilities for new aftermarket products and extend the market for established products.
  • Implement Gardner Denver Service and Spares programs, signing service contracts with new and key accounts, and converting existing customers to long-term plans.
  • Establish Voice of Customer surveys to drive customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify and evaluate Aftermarket opportunities and understand customer requirements.
  • Identify key accounts and targets, ensuring effective account management and proactive targeting for additional service work.
  • Maintain knowledge of market development and evaluate new business opportunities.
  • Provide support to Customer Service Manager, Sales Specialists, Internal Personnel, and External Customers.
  • Produce weekly/monthly reports to management.
  • Appraise current and planned customer needs and advise on suitable product/service applications.
  • Offer assistance and explanation for difficulties, ensuring complaints are followed up and satisfactory solutions are obtained.
  • Maintain and develop close relationships with key accounts.
  • Resolve customer complaints and disputes.
  • Support Company objectives in accordance with ISO 9001 quality accreditation.
  • Support Company objectives relating to environment, health, and safety.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and safe activities.
  • Eliminate risks in the working environment through housekeeping, risk assessments, and hazard mitigation.
  • Take a leading role in safety risk assessment and audit.
  • Implement safety procedures for others through appropriate equipment operation and usage of personal protective equipment.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a business development role with a hunter mentality.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
