About the Role

We are seeking a Social Media Manager with brilliant creative ideas, cultural insights, and deep social platform expertise to create engaging, entertainment-led work for a global tech brand. This role involves owning the social output for the UK market, working within a creative duo to produce high-volume organic social content for Instagram and TikTok.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate original social content for Instagram and TikTok, grounded in UK culture, audience behaviour, and platform trends.
  • Develop creative work from insight to production-ready concepts, utilizing skills like storyboarding, script writing, and visual exploration.
  • Communicate the principles of engaging, social-first content to wider creative teams.
  • Identify reactive content opportunities and execute them quickly without compromising quality.
  • Present work to internal and client teams, explaining the strategy and execution.
  • Manage brand channels on social, including posting principles, performance optimization, and audience engagement.
  • Own the scheduling and publishing calendar across multiple channels.
  • Handle all aspects of community management, including engagement on owned channels and seeking fame opportunities on non-owned channels.
  • Collaborate within creative teams, blending insight-led content thinking with creative craft.
  • Use research, insight, social listening, and sentiment tracking to inform strategic decisions.
  • Understand channel data and translate it into actionable creative strategy.
  • Manage workload within a structured production cycle.
  • Receive feedback and adapt quickly.
  • Ensure published content adheres to brand guidelines, platform best practices, tone-of-voice, and copyright standards.

Requirements

  • Must know what makes a hook land in 0.3 seconds.
  • Must have an opinion on past performance and future trends.
  • Must thrive independently with creative autonomy, not requiring a strict brief.
  • Must have a passion for all things culture, from major conversations to niche online communities.
  • Must be able to communicate principles of engaging, social-first content.
  • Must be confident in presenting work and explaining the 'what, why, and how'.
  • Must be able to adapt quickly to feedback.
