About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive user and revenue growth by shaping product strategy and owning its execution. You will build products that create value for readers, grow our audience and revenue, and explore new revenue streams. You are data-driven, user-obsessed, and leverage AI effectively. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, data, and editorial teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead growth strategy, including planning, execution, and optimization of audience and revenue growth strategies.
- Research and develop new revenue streams through exploration, prototyping, and validation in collaboration with the Editor in Chief.
- Own the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with the publication's direction and clear articulation of tradeoffs.
- Build an experimentation roadmap to validate hypotheses and drive user and revenue growth.
- Monitor progress against goals, conduct gap analysis, and propose adjustments for sustainable growth.
- Become the expert on users by diving deep into customer data and insights.
- Ship products with engineering, ensuring timely delivery, high quality, and iterative improvements based on results.
Requirements
- Fluent, clear English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- 5-8 years of experience in product management or growth at a fast-paced company, with ownership of a product area and proven outcomes.
- Data-driven and analytical mindset, capable of solving complex problems and translating data into actionable strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and proactively in a cross-functional environment.
- Radically candid communication style, delivering direct and honest feedback with care.
- User-obsessed with strong judgment and taste, able to distinguish and articulate the reasons for good product design.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset, exhibiting proactivity, resourcefulness, and curiosity.
