About the Role

As a Risk Monitoring Officer with a focus on Data Protection, Process, and Project Management at Vattenfall Europe Sales, you will be the interface between the company and the Data Protection Officers (DSPs), ensuring compliance with data protection and AI regulations. You will support and lead projects with data protection and AI relevance, and manage improvement or change processes focusing on processes, data flows, and data protection.

Responsibilities

Act as the interface between the company and the Data Protection Officers (DSPs), responsible for compliance with data protection and the AI Regulation.
Support and lead projects with data protection and AI relevance.
Manage improvement or change processes focusing on processes, data flows, and data protection.
Document processes and IT applications for data protection assessment, including the visualization of data flows and their classification regarding their protection needs.
Serve as the primary contact for the business regarding data protection (in collaboration with the DSP) and AI usage during the introduction of new or review of existing personal data processing activities.
Handle data protection-related complaints.
Optimize processes to reduce costs and risks.
Advise stakeholders on the implementation of products and services from data protection, economic, and risk management perspectives.
Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (in collaboration with the DSPs).
Coordinate, participate in, and potentially lead projects while maintaining information flow between all involved IT and project representatives.
Monitor the implementation status of data protection-relevant or AI Regulation-relevant measures/processes.
Contribute to ensuring awareness of the Data Protection and AI Regulation guidelines and policies within Vattenfall's energy sales in Germany.

Requirements

Completed vocational/university studies in fields such as Business Law, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
Several years of professional experience in participating in, coordinating, and leading (partial) projects with IT and digitalization relevance, ideally considering data protection, AI, or information security aspects.
Data protection certification and preferably additional qualifications in project management and information security.
Optimal understanding of processes in energy sales, online media, and online marketing.
Teamwork skills, empathy, assertiveness, and confidence.
High resilience and initiative, as well as a structured way of working.
Flexibility regarding project- or task-related activities.
Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
