About the Role
Snowflake's Forward Deployed Engineering team embeds directly inside enterprise customers' environments to design, build, and deploy production AI systems. As an AI Deployment Strategist, you will be the partner enterprise customers turn to when they are serious about transforming how their business runs on AI. You will sit inside the FDE product organization, working alongside the engineers and researchers who deliver these programs.
Responsibilities
- Understand the customer's business and identify problems worth solving.
- Translate executive conversations into real engagements, structure commercial commitments, and author Statements of Work.
- Navigate IP, data rights, and contract terms specific to custom AI engagements.
- Expand from a first engagement into a portfolio across business units.
- Evaluate field-originated opportunities for FDE fit, protecting FDE capacity and improving conversion.
- Partner with Account Executives on contracting and commercials, owning engagement scope, product pricing, and delivery commitments.
- Collaborate with Marketing on field enablement, go-to-market campaigns, and thought leadership.
- Bring customer pain points, use case patterns, and competitive dynamics to FDE product and engineering leadership.
- Make decisions that serve the customer, even if an FDE engagement is not right for them.
Requirements
- A track record as a trusted advisor to senior executives, with experience building and holding C-suite relationships independently.
- Fluency in both technology and business strategy, able to translate between AI architecture and P&L.
- Experience scoping and closing complex enterprise engagements, including writing and negotiating Statements of Work.
- A consistent track record in enterprise software or technical solutions, working alongside a field sales organization.
- The judgment to navigate multi-stakeholder procurement, legal, and security reviews.
- AI-native in practice, using frontier AI tools in daily work and speaking credibly about their operational impact.
- Comfortable building executive-level slides and technical demos to exemplify the AI path to outcome.
