About the Role

Join one of Catawiki’s main Development Verticals (Demand, Supply, or Fulfilment) to improve the experience of buyers, sellers, and internal teams across the platform. You will build product innovations for Catawiki’s apps and web app, collaborating with Backend, Frontend, iOS, and Android Engineers, QA, UX Designers, and Product Managers. Your goal is to deliver reliable, high-quality experiences that make a meaningful impact for users.

Responsibilities

Build impactful product experiences by improving and delivering innovations across the Catawiki platform for buyers, sellers, customer service, and internal operations teams.
Create adaptable web frontends on top of scalable microservices using TypeScript and ReactJS.
Deliver responsive, accessible experiences that work well across desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.
Optimise product performance by measuring and monitoring systems and using insights to improve the experiences you build.
Experiment and learn by partnering with Product Managers and UX Designers on A/B tests, using data analysis to validate ideas and iterate.
Collaborate across disciplines with engineers, QA, design, and product colleagues to build scalable and maintainable solutions.

Requirements

Extensive frontend experience demonstrated through a strong portfolio of frontend deliveries.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
Understanding of HTTP/S, the Critical Rendering Path, CORS, caching, and CDNs.
Familiarity with libraries and frameworks such as ReactJS, NextJS, Redux, CSS Modules, Tailwind, and/or Rails.
Proven experience in product companies, working closely with engineers and Product Managers as part of an autonomous, cross-functional team.
Experience designing, implementing, deploying, monitoring, and managing applications with a focus on availability, latency, and consistency.
Understanding of principles such as SOLID and DRY.
Consideration for accessibility, security, SEO, performance, testing, observability, internationalisation, and typing when building features.
Takes initiative, welcomes new challenges, helps raise the team's level, shares knowledge across teams, and actively expands skills and impact.
Validates ideas quickly, iterates based on insights, and is willing to discard what does not work.
Familiarity with NodeJS and experience running it in production is a plus.
Must be already based in the Netherlands.
