About the Role
Provide specialist civil and structural engineering expertise across Sydney Metro West, acting as the key engineering advisor across multiple stations. This autonomous role involves working across complex engineering challenges to ensure technical outcomes are delivered safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Providing civil and structural engineering leadership across station and rail infrastructure packages
- Reviewing and advising on design, construction methodologies, staging and technical solutions
- Working closely with package leads, implementation teams and major contractors to resolve complex engineering issues
- Supporting delivery through design, construction, testing and commissioning phases of the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Degree-qualified engineer with more than 10 years' experience delivering major rail, station or complex transport infrastructure projects
- Strong expertise in civil and structural engineering
- Developed career in large, multidisciplinary project environments
- Comfortable navigating both design and construction challenges
- Able to provide practical, solution-focused advice
- Demonstrated experience working closely with contractors, designers and project delivery teams
- Ability to build credibility with stakeholders
- Ability to influence outcomes
- Ability to operate effectively without direct supervision
- Adaptable and proactive
- Comfortable moving between priorities as project needs evolve across multiple work fronts
