About the Role
This co-op student position will report to the Senior Manager, Strategic Finance and offers professional development in SAP, advanced Excel, Power BI, management accounting, financial analysis, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare month-end accruals and journal entries.
- Update and maintain monthly financial reports for projects and programs.
- Assist in forecast updating and uploading.
- Develop and update reports using Excel (pivot tables)/Power BI and SAP.
- Compile explanations for variance to budget.
- Perform data reconciliation, support, and update data in tracking systems and SAP.
- Request resources and create reports for outstanding requests.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing for system upgrades/reconfiguration of various software.
- Assist with other department initiatives, ad-hoc requests, and additional reporting requests.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in post-secondary level studies and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term.
- Exceptions made for students requiring a work term to graduate.
- International students must have a proper work permit and Social Insurance Number (SIN).
