About the Role

This role is within Equipment Engineering and Transmission Asset planning, responsible for managing transmission station's civil and electrical assets. This includes maintenance planning, budget forecasting and control, strategy establishment, and support for rate filing activities.

Responsibilities

• Update major electrical equipment database in SAP.
• Keep meeting records and coordinate meetings with vendors and multiple disciplines within Hydro One.
• Upgrade and maintain the team SharePoint site.
• Develop technical specifications for major electrical equipment in transmission stations.
• Gather and analyze data using SAP and Business Intelligence module.
• Assign maintenance plans.
• Write codes and macros to automate data updates and maintenance planning.
• Write job aids.
• Write strategies.
• Conduct site visits for data gathering.
• Track projects' progress.
• Control budgets.
• Administer team mailbox.

Requirements

• Must have completed at least 2 years of a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
• Must have completed Electrical Circuits and Physics courses.
• Thermodynamics, Power system, and Magnetics courses are considered an asset.
• Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work independently.
• Attention to detail.
• Self-starter with initiative.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Computer programming ability.
• Some travel may be involved.
• Driver's License is considered an asset.
• Must be enrolled in post-secondary studies and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term, or require a work term to graduate.
• International students must have a proper work permit and Social Insurance Number (SIN).
