About the Role
This role involves extracting, transforming, and analyzing datasets, researching industry trends, and improving customer-facing materials to identify and address customer pain points. You will communicate insights through presentations and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Extract, transform and analyze Distributed Energy Resource Management System datasets in Microsoft Excel
- Research and analyze industry and customer trends to design effective customer engagement strategies
- Analyze and improve customer-facing materials and interaction records to identify and address customer pain points
- Communicate insights in PowerPoint or other formats with clear visualizations to convey complex concepts
- Write reports and prepare presentations for internal briefings and external knowledge sharing
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with technical teams and vendors, e.g. preparing meeting materials and actioning next steps
- May perform additional duties upon request
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a university undergraduate program 3rd year or in a university master’s program in Business, Economics, Earth and Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, Public Policy, Computer Science or Math (preferred). Other university programs will be considered.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with strong research and problem-solving ability
- Experience in/knowledge of the Electricity Industry (Utilities, Renewables, Conservation, Demand Response, etc.) is preferred
- Familiarity with user-centered design thinking
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
- English fluency and comfort with report writing
- Must be enrolled in post-secondary level studies and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work term, or require a work term to graduate.
- International students must have a proper work permit and Social Insurance Number (SIN).
