About the Role

Own both classic search results and AI-generated answers for Campfire, driving qualified organic traffic and pipeline while establishing Campfire as a cited source for AI answer engines. You will define strategy, execute technical and content programs, and establish measurement frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Own the organic strategy and roadmap, including keyword and topic research, site architecture, technical SEO, on-page optimization, internal linking, and a content program tied to pipeline.
  • Build the answer-engine optimization (AEO) program by identifying buyer questions for LLMs and AI search, creating and structuring content for retrieval and citation, and tracking share of citation.
  • Collaborate with the Content/Storytelling team on search-intent and answer-intent content, ensuring a shared voice and calendar to avoid duplication.
  • Work with the Social Media Manager on Reddit and community presence to enhance AEO visibility.
  • Manage technical SEO health, including crawlability, Core Web Vitals, structured data, migrations, and site performance, in conjunction with the web owner or agency.
  • Develop measurement frameworks for both search surfaces, tracking rankings, organic pipeline, AI-visibility, and reporting on demand drivers.
  • Execute digital PR and link-earning programs based on original data, tools, and research.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in B2B SEO with demonstrated pipeline impact, including experience building or turning around a program.
  • Proficiency with standard SEO tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush, and Screaming Frog.
  • Comfortable working within a CMS.
  • Working understanding of how LLM-based search and answer engines retrieve, rank, and cite sources, with a clear perspective on AEO trends.
  • Strong technical SEO fundamentals, capable of writing clear specifications for engineers.
  • Content strategy skills, including briefing writers, editing for clarity, and identifying source-worthy content.
  • Analytical and structured approach, with the ability to build measurement frameworks before scaling.
  • Experience with AI-visibility tracking tools (e.g., Profound, Peec, or custom trackers) is a plus.
  • Basic Python or SQL skills for large-scale analysis are a plus.
  • Multi-region or international SEO experience is a plus, given ongoing EMEA build-out.
